I go into every family session hoping to capture a few things, but none so much as.... connection. The tender moments between parents and their kids, siblings, just the parents (where I usually say pretend you don't have kids and you guys are still just in the dating stage, it's exciting and new - I laugh, they laugh)

The giggles from the kiddos that are not forced "photography smiles". As I always say,

I want the photos to tell a story.
