While I have a few drafts for blog posts saved - they took on something new, deeper, heavier, and more emotional before I was able to finish them - so I am going to save those for a minute and bring you something a bit - lighter.
Fathers day is coming and well, why are the men in our life so hard to buy for?
Sentimental hand made gifts from your littles are always best IMO.
But what about something ..... more?
Here are a few ideas and links I put together - IMO a gift needs to be something functional, something they will actually use or sentimental.... otherwise it's just a waste of money.
Lets start with EASY - cmon guys - every dad needs new slippers - every year - so if you didn't already use up this token gift during the holidays - now is the time..... besides, if you were left somewhat empty handed on Mother's Day - token is all the rage. But, these are NICE slippers - like really nice. AT 80 bucks for the pair Dad is gonna be cozy as heck in these.
Check out LL Beans listing for these bad boys - come in multiple color options too.
Golf Guy? Mine is - and all he said while I was putting this list together was "golf stuff babe, hey babe, golf stuff..... Don't forget golf stuff...."
I know nothing about Golf - I just stick with Golf Fashion..... it's much safer here
So we have three options here.
Nike beats any and all of them all the time - so I stuck with Nike.
First up - Dri-Fit ADV Tiger Woods Golf polo - comes in 3 color options and for the men in your life that have been really nice cause, it's more on teh splurge side and we know Nike is never included in any department sales. like - ever.....
Second here is more my range.... My range is considered on the Frugal side - who am I kidding? It's my only side....
The Golf Dri-Fit Victory Polo in Obsidian Blue
And of course - Tiger Red with a Victory Blade Collar
There are SO MANY options for these. I chose three as to not overwhelm people and without hubs help. He will probably read this - click the links and say - "No, No this is all wrong" Whatever, if I am buying I Get to choose right? I mean how many collar styles DO WE NEED NIKE?
I dunno why his nightstand and dresser are more organized than mine - probably because I don't have a few of these handy storage things....
Here is one for the dresser - will move on to nightstand in a second.
Watches, bracelets, rings, valuables etc. Comes in three colors and well - I think it's pretty sharp lookin - also, Amazon for the win with prime shipping as - we are getting cloe friends.
Now for the nightstand. You men can ignore the fact I included a ladies color here.
Ladies - I dunno about you - but one for him and one for me sounds good right?
These are more of a splurge. BUT, they are currently on sale and you can get a 20% off when you sign up for emails.
They have Catch 2's and Catch 1s - but - They don't wow me.
The Catch 3 bedside organizer and charging station is the ONE
We, are not campers. I say we and I mean - me.
Hubs would go and take the kids all the time. I'm more a "hotel life is camping is it not?" kinda person.
But - this lil guy is COOL!
Even if you are just camping in the back yard (I don't do that either)
The SOLO Stove lite and - ahem, it's on sale guys!
I WANT ONE!
That's about all I have to say about this - but - for real. We have wanted a fire pit forever, our backyard isn't super laid out for one to put one in to stay. SO THIS THING COULD BE AMAZING. And that $400 price tag right now is down to $219! Set up in your backyard, take it camping with you (you, not me), over to friends..... I mean. I WANT ONE!
So like, fathers day gift for the whole family, right?
the images are deceiving - cause this little guy is only 20 pounds, 14 inches high and just under 20" in diameter. Comes with a carry case too!
Guys - its cool - it got me.
SOLO Stove - Best selling Bonfire Pit
For their larger one - featured in the photos - 27" in diameter, 38 pounds. AND ALMOST HALF OFF RIGHT NOW! The Yukon Fire Pit
Oh - ps - they are virtually smokeless too!
Basically the whole site has cool stuff!
UNCOMMON GOODS has loads of stuff for dad, a lot of it by special interest, sport, drinks and more.
Here are two I thought were really sweet!
From littler ones. This Dozen Reasons Why I Love You gift is customizable with 50 different options to choose from and well - melts my heart and makes me wish I could go ack in time to when my kiddos were little!
My Mini & Me Hobby Mug - guys - HOW FREAKING CUTE IS THIS? Customizable with names, year established and a large hobby list to include! I mean - I love me a photo mug but - this has the added touch of something Dad and Kiddos do together!
I am a sucker for sentimental, memories, dates locked.
The Night Sky personalized gifts get me good!
I actually bought one of these for my mom - it's beautiful, she cried, nuff said.
Starting at just 40 bucks and fully customizable. Choose from 4 color options, as well as inverting the colors for the background - shown here in black but can make it white so the sky pops. Set the location you want to see what the sky looked like from, additional options for the sky available, the date, included the description of the memory - for fathers day I could see a sweet series. Whether you have one kiddo or 5. DO one for each and have dad choose a place to hang them. Also available to print on canvas and framing options.
For the Beer dad.
First up and only ten bucks!
Whether he's just carrying cold ones outside or walking to the neighbors for a get together - this Hammer & Axe Wooden Beer Caddy is legit the custest (ok, don't tell him I said it's cute) But can you not just see your guy carrying this like he's the coolest to the neighbors?
The BruMate Hopsulator Trio - need I even say more?
And - well, I didn't even know these were a thing but now that I know I think everyone who drinks beer needs them - cause no one likes warm beer!
Beer Chiller Sticks for Bottles - My mind is blown!
I could link things for eternity - every dad has their own hobby and interests. Basketball waste basket? Sure sure, has a place for someone - but I tried to stick to just a few things most every dad may use (or the whole fam bam)
I promise to be back with lots of new writing - lots of new words with substance.
I just wanted to ease back into this space with something a little lighter.
